Restylane®/Perlane™/Juvèderm™

These are dermal fillers that replace lost volume and restore youthful contours to the skin to smooth away moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. The common areas are nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the mouth) cheek bones, hollows in the cheeks and lines round the mouth. Fillers last from 6-12 months. As we get older, we lose volume in the face, which gives a older appearance. The fillers restore that volume.

This non-surgical treatment replaces the natural collagen support under the skin. Restylane® is hyaluronic acid product does not require allergy testing. Dr. Sobel is recognized as a platinum injector by Medicis, the manufacturer of Restylane® because of the expertise in injecting Restylane®.

Radiesse™ - Is long lasting filler derived from calcium hydroxyapetite, a natural component of bone. It is very popular for building up the cheekbones.

Sculptra™ - Is a synthetic injectable material known as "poly-L-lactic acid" It is injected below the surface of the skin in the area of fat loss to provide a gradual increase in skin thickness. Sculptra™ stimulate collagen production and the result last up to two years after several treatments.

Cosmoderm™/Cosmoplast™ - Is the only commercially available dermal filler made from human collagen. They offer immediate results to correct unwanted lines and wrinkles and can add definition to the lip border.

Juvèderm™ - is soft hyluronic acid filler that had just recently been FDA approved. This smoother gel formulation flows easily into the skin, creating a very natural look.

Captique™ - another FDA approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that can add volume to facial lines and wrinkles.

these treatments use the patient's own body fat to plump up facial hollows and can fill deep lines and wrinkles. This procedure last longer than most fillers and yields instant results.

Permanent Filler

Silicone - The FDA has approved medical grade injectable silicone for ophthalmic use to treat retinal detachment and, as with some other injectables, it is being used off-label for cosmetic purposes. Silikon 1000 and Adatosil 5000, when injected in "micro-droplets" are effective for treating acne scars, plumping the lips and fine lines around the lip borders. These micro-droplets will gradually build up the area in one to four treatments, spaced at least one month apart. Dr. Sobel cautions that silicone injections are not appropriate for everyone. It is extremely important to go to a dermatologist with experience micro droplet technique. Dr. Sobel has been using silicone since it's approval for off label use.
